Our approach

Care focused on getting you back to work

Treatment combines chiropractic adjustments, soft-tissue work and functional rehab that mirrors the physical demands of your job. We also look at how you lift, sit and move during your shift, and give you practical changes that lower the chance of re-injury.

You will receive clear documentation of your findings, progress and work status at each stage of care.

Workers’ comp

Workers’ compensation in California

We treat patients with workers’ compensation claims. If you were hurt at work, report the injury to your employer right away and ask for a claim form (DWC-1). If your employer uses a Medical Provider Network, your treatment may need to happen within that network, so check before your first visit.

California generally limits the number of chiropractic visits allowed per workers’ comp injury, which makes a focused, well-documented plan important. Call the office with your claim information and we will help you understand what applies to your case.

About the QME role

Treatment and QME evaluations are separate

Dr. Del Torto is also a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) in California. That is a distinct, independent role: a QME evaluates disputed workers’ comp cases and does not treat the patients he evaluates in that capacity. If you are scheduled for a QME evaluation, your appointment is arranged through the state process, not through this booking page.

Get emergency care first if

For a serious workplace injury, call 911 or go to an emergency room if you have:

  • A possible fracture, dislocation or deep cut
  • A head injury with confusion, vomiting or loss of consciousness
  • Numbness, weakness or loss of bladder or bowel control after a fall or lift
  • Chest pain or difficulty breathing

This page is educational and is not medical advice. Results vary, and whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you is decided after an in-person evaluation.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I see a chiropractor for a workers’ comp injury in California?

Yes. Chiropractic care is a recognized treatment in California workers’ comp. Rules about which provider you can see depend on your employer’s Medical Provider Network and whether you pre-designated a physician, so call us with your claim details.

What if my injury built up over time instead of one accident?

Repetitive or cumulative injuries can also be work-related. Report them to your employer the same way you would a single incident.

Can you see me if I am not using workers’ comp?

Yes. You can choose to be seen as a regular patient. We will explain your options at the first visit.

Can Dr. Del Torto be my treating doctor and my QME?

No. Those are separate roles. A QME provides an independent evaluation and does not treat the same patient in that case.
